Tonight · May 7, 2026 · 6:00 PM

The Midtown Core Transportation Study
puts the Safer 7’s back on the agenda.

The Safer 7’s — our name for the 7th Avenue and 7th Street reversible lanes — are due for re-evaluation as part of tonight’s study. We’ve been here before.

For more than a decade GOOD|GOAT has tracked how the City of Phoenix handles the Safer 7’s — process and methodology, not opinion. The most recent reversible lanes study fell short of the standard a public-record civic decision deserves. Today we’re filing a formal complaint about that study’s methodology.

Tonight’s meeting is the next chapter. If you care how Phoenix arrives at decisions like these, leave us your name. We’ll send the complaint, the meeting recap, and what comes next.
